Through your generous support, the Nyika-Vwaza Trust in Malawi works with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife to improve the conservation of wildlife in the Nyika National Park and the Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve.

The Nyika-Vwaza (UK) Trust will provide the funding for year on year operational costs and specific projects through the generosity of its supporters.

Signpost Reconstruction

The signposts across the Nyika are all made from wood and soon perish with the extremes of weather that can be experienced on the Nyika. Because of this the Trust has now built signposts out of stone that will last indefinitely. The Trust employed a professional builder and finished all the signposts in and around the plantation during 2009. From now on the signposts will be maintained as part of the yearly trust operations.
