Why is this project needed?
The conservation work in the Nyika National Park and Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve is carried out by a team of Malawian staff supervised by a volunteer Trust manager. The Trust Manager lives in an eco-friendly log cabin built with finance from the Beit Trust. That log cabin, constructed in 2007, provides a warm and secure home away from home for the managers. A few well-considered tasks would enhance this property.
How will this project be implemented?
The following enhancements are proposed:
Tiling shower box
Extending the outer decking to create an outdoor meeting space
Fire proof shed
Landscaping
